  • Launch and recovery*
  • Preparation of the boat and crew
  • Boat handling
  • Securing to a mooring buoy
  • Leaving and coming alongside
  • Being towed

*8-11 year olds observe this section.

  • Warm dry clothing for the winter months (recommended windbreaker) a hat for the summer months

The RYA Level 2 powerboat course is the most popular and is aimed at those who are new to boating as well as those with more experience.
The coastal RYA Level 2 certificate will allow you to apply for an ICC (International Certificate of Competence) from the RYA for power vessels up to 10 metres in length.
The Powerboat Level 2 certificate enables you to become a member of our ‘Share a Boat’ scheme too.
